Kingston Youth Orchestra/String Sinfonia Conductor

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and experienced conductor to take over as Ensemble Leader for our Youth Orchestra and String Sinfonia from October 2017.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and experienced conductor to take over as Ensemble Leader for our Youth Orchestra and String Sinfonia from October 2017.

The Kingston Youth Orchestra rehearses on a Tuesday during term time between 5:45pm and 7:45pm at our Fern Hill Music Centre (Richmond Road, Kingston). The String Sinfonia rehearses on a Saturday morning during term time between 9:40am and 11:40am at our Coombe Music Centre (Clarence Avenue, New Malden).

Youth Orchestra members are from Grade 3 to Grade 6 and students are of both primary and secondary age.  The String Sinfonia is a small chamber group of advanced string players (Grade 6+) of mainly secondary age. Each term involves an end of term concert for which you must be available.

Interviews:
Interviews/auditions will take place on Tuesday 26th September and successful candidates will be asked to lead part of a rehearsal.
