Barnsley Music Service is seeking experienced, talented, and motivated tutors to join their thriving team. Working in schools across the borough and at the music centre, successful candidates will teach pupils in small groups, in whole classes and individuals as well as leading and directing ensembles, where appropriate.

Barnsley Music Service is seeking experienced, talented, and motivated tutors to join their thriving team. Working in schools across the borough and at the music centre, successful candidates will teach pupils in small groups, in whole classes and individuals as well as leading and directing ensembles, where appropriate.

Keyboard/Piano

Part time in response to demand from schools, currently 8 hours per week, including some evening teaching.

Woodwind

Part time in response to demand from schools, currently 16 hours per week over 2 and half days, including some evening teaching.

Lower Strings

Part time in response to demand from schools, currently 6 hours per week, including some evening teaching. This position is temporary until 31 December 2017, or sooner if the situation dictates – to cover maternity leave.

We are looking for successful candidates to take up posts from 1st January 2017 and an enhanced DBS clearance will be required prior to appointments.
