Instrumental/Vocal Tutors

Stockport Music Service is looking to appoint a variety of staff from September 2018. All roles are part-time, fixed-term initially with the capacity to grow in the future. We welcome multi instrumentalists. We have a strong team work ethic with weekly meetings and plenty of opportunities for CPD and professional growth.

Stockport Music Service is looking to appoint a variety of staff from September 2018.

All roles are part-time initially with the capacity to grow in the future. We welcome multi instrumentalists. Stockport Music Service has a strong team work ethic with weekly meetings and plenty of opportunities for CPD and professional growth. Meetings are held on a Wednesday and run straight into our evening activities.

Roles vary from 3 hours to 2 days depending on the billing mechanism of the schools.

Woodwind tutor:
We are particularly keen to have a clarinet specialist and a double reeds tutor but welcome applications from all disciplines.

Keyboard tutor:
Up to 3 days, many of which is in secondary schools.

Strings;
upper and lower or a willingness to teach both.

There may also be opportunities for curriculum staff and vocalists.

Music Centre Ensembles & tuition
As well as this work in schools there are also possibilities for evening work, either small group teaching or working with ensembles.

Wind bands rehearse on a Wednesday evening, 5.45-7.30, and we are looking for one or two additional tutors for these groups.

Friday early evenings we need an additional string tutor to work with our Junior or Intermediate strings. These rehearse from 5.00-6.45.
