Hertfordshire Music Service (HMS) is looking for enthusiastic, encouraging and supportive teachers for a wide variety of musical provision. We offer teaching during the school day as well as evenings and weekends at our local music centres both online and face to face.

We are particularly keen to hear from those interested in teaching the following:
• Woodwind
• Brass
• Strings
• Guitar
• Percussion
• Piano
• Voice
• First Access Ukulele / Djembe / Samba
• Musical Outreach or Project Work
• Early Years Specialists
• After School Music Clubs
We are currently seeking vibrant music tutors to fill several positions at HMS and use their experience and professional expertise to change the lives of children through a musical journey.

The role can involve 1:1 teaching, small group sessions, whole class teaching and can take place during the school day, evenings and Saturday mornings. Experience working with primary and secondary children is advantageous. This role may involve travel between agreed locations and therefore having your own vehicle is preferred, but not essential.

Our new teachers must be able to commit to deliver 33 teaching weeks over the academic year. Working hours will be agreed together with HMS. Your pay will be determined on the HMS pay scale (to be discussed on appointment). Teachers can progress higher up the pay scale through successful performance management.
