Newham Music, the award winning Music Hub for Newham is expanding their team of teachers.

We are looking for experienced, inspiring teachers to join our successful team.

Hourly rate: From £24.20 for small group teaching and £28.58 for large group/ensemble/whole class

We are particularly looking for people with the following skills:

  • Experienced instrumental teachers, particularly in teaching brass, wind and cello
  • An Experienced Accompanist for our flagship Borough choir, Extraordinary Voices and to accompany our Saturday morning choirs.

Teachers will have:

  • A track record for inspiring young learners
  • Experience in teaching small groups of young people e.g. 2-6 people
  • Excellent musical skills
  • A commitment to teaching musicianship skills starting through the voice
  • To be able to teach a range of musical styles including composing and improvising
  • Degree level education and/or equivalent professional experience

Although not essential the following could be useful:

  • Experience in Large Group, Mixed Ensemble and Workshop Leading Skills
  • QTS, PGCE, Music IT skills
