Peripatetic Teachers for September start

Contracted or self employed (Contracted salaries range from £23,500 to £30,000 plus car allowance)

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and passionate peripatetic teachers to deliver high quality individual and small group music tuition in schools and at our music centres. You will have the opportunity to enhance and develop your career across all areas of the music service including ensemble direction and performance opportunities, together with a mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced tuition.

The following vacancies are available:

  • Saxophone specialist – part time to include a Tuesday evening at Newbury Music Centre and could be combined with general woodwind for more part time hours or full time post.
  • Oboe specialist – part time approximately 1.5 days and could be combined with general woodwind for a part time or full time post.
  • General woodwind – full or part time to be based around one of our music centres in Berkshire.
  • Contemporary guitar – various part time or full time hours available. This could be combined with Classical guitar for the right candidate.
  • Classical guitar – various part time hours or full time hours available. This could be combined with contemporary guitar for the right candidate.
  • Early Years – 2.5 days available to include a Saturday morning at our Windsor Music Centre and at various locations across Berkshire.
  • Piano – Saturdays at our Reading Music Centre (self-employed)

Driving licence and own transport are essential for these roles. Contracted staff get the benefits of a travel allowance as well as entry to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme. If you are a recent graduate, then we may be able to include you on our graduate programme instead.
