Instrumental and Classroom Music Teachers
Hounslow is looking for experienced whole class instrumental teachers who are confident delivering both group and individual lessons, working with pupils from Year 2 through to Year 13, and teaching from beginners to advanced.
Are you passionate about sharing the joy of music? We’re seeking enthusiastic, skilled musicians to join our team for a range of teaching work both in and out of schools, as well as on Saturday mornings.
We’re keen to hear from musicians across all disciplines, but we are especially interested in those with expertise in:
- Curriculum delivery (primary)
- Woodwind, especially clarinet
- Guitar/ukulele
- Percussion, of every type
- Bowed strings, especially violin
- Piano

- A strong communicator with both children and adults
- Comfortable working across Primary and Secondary age ranges
- Ready to help young musicians grow and thrive
Full training and induction will be provided to all successful applicants. You will join a highly skilled, supportive team working within schools that actively champion music. We strongly encourage applications from individuals underrepresented in the workforce.
Our building is fully accessible for anyone with access requirements.
This role requires a commitment of 30 weeks per year (10 weeks per academic term), with some work taking place on Saturday mornings.
All appointments are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our pupils.

Hounslow Music Service
Hounslow Music Service provides instrumental and vocal lessons to learners of all ages and all abilities, both in and out of school time. In addition to these lessons we also offer a structured, progressive ensemble programme at our midweek music centres and organise performances and projects to complement pupils’ learning.
