Time commitment: Four face to face board meetings per academic year plus preparation

North Yorkshire & York Music Hub is seeking an Independent Chair to support the governance, strategic development and oversight of the new regional Music Hub established in September 2024.

This voluntary role offers the chance to shape music education across one of the largest and most diverse regions in England, ensuring children and young people can access high‑quality and inclusive musical opportunities.

We are looking for:

  • Strong strategic leaders
  • Inclusive, collaborative thinkers
  • Experience of governance, oversight or chairing
  • Passion for music education and its impact on children and young people
