The Milton Keynes Music Hub works with schools and key partners to ensure that the National Music Plan is implemented fully within the Borough and that all pupils of statutory school age, irrespective of their circumstances, receive a high-quality music education.  It aims to provide a wide range of progressive and sustainable musical activities so that all young people aged from 5-18 are able to develop their musical potential.

We also aim to positively enhance the life quality of C&YP by building on existing strengths and by recognising and responding to areas of need. An equality, inclusion and diversity plan has been in place since before lockdown and activities have increased to a level where we now need to recruit for an inclusion co-ordinator.

This is an exciting opportunity to set up a new role and the successful candidate will be expected to develop and lead on the implementation of the Music Hub’s EDI Strategy through managing and developing strategic partnerships and effective management of the developing EDI team within the Hub. Overseeing quality assurance, cost effectiveness, equality of opportunity and community involvement.

The role will be fixed term for 1 year in the first instance and will be a maximum of a day and a half per week but there is  flexibility about the amount of time that is offered and the way it is used to fulfil the role. Additional tutoring or session leadership might also be available.
