In leading Haringey Music Service, the candidate would be expected to manage a small core team of administrators and music leaders as well as a team of 150+ self-employed peripatetic teachers.
They would work with colleagues in schools, the Haringey Music Education Hub and across the Children and Young Peoples Service (CYPS) to raise standards in music education. They would act as the budget holder for the service and be responsible for reporting to Arts Council England (ACE) as Head of the Lead Partner in the Haringey Music Education Hub.
They would be responsible for implementing a range of curricular and extra-curricular objectives in line with local, regional, national, and international music education communities.
Salary: Soulbury 16-19
Available to start from January 2021
Extensive experience of working with large groups of children and young people in a musical context, in and out of schools
Extensive experience of project management and organising large scale performances
Working as part of a team, including under pressure and in high-profile situations
The ability to lead and inspire others, engendering a strong team ethic
Graduate degree in a music-related discipline
Qualified Teacher Status desirable but not essential
Understanding of a wide range of musical ensembles, genres and styles
