Here in the Inspiring Music Team we are looking to recruit a Head of Music Centre (4 hours per week for 30 weeks plus CPD and meetings) to support the instrument and vocal leads on the direction and delivery of music centre activities to enable our pupils to be the musicians they want to be both face to face and digitally where appropriate.

More about the role:

Here in the Inspiring Music Team we are looking to recruit a Head of Music Centre to support the instrument and vocal leads on the direction and delivery of music centre activities to enable our pupils to be the musicians they want to be both face to face and digitally where appropriate.

We want to enrich the lives of children and young people in Central Bedfordshire by offering musical tuition and opportunities that increase skills, knowledge, aspirations and enjoyment of music.

The Head of Music Centre will have experience of managing and working within a team and will line manage the team of music centre tutors and administrators as well as delivering high quality ensemble music sessions themselves. They will need to be passionate advocates of music education of all genres. They will quality assure delivery and lead on the planning and curriculum enrichment requirements of the music sessions. They will have duty of care for the students and staff at the centre and will need to ensure that all music centre activities are safely undertaken.

Our music centres provide various learning opportunities and ensembles for the local community, both children and adults to access. The Head of Centre will oversee the music centre tutors and ensure that the offer to the local community is of an excellent quality and will work with the Area Manager to further to develop and strengthen the activities and opportunities available to its members.

The successful candidate alongside the Area Manager will seek new and exciting opportunities for the children and young people of Central Bedfordshire, constantly seeking new challenges and pathways ensuring that we continually offer the highest quality provision within our community.
