An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen within Berkshire Maestros, the lead organisation of the Berkshire Music Hub.

We seek for September 2018 an inspirational and outstanding classical guitar specialist to lead the countywide development of Maestros Guitar faculty. Taking responsibility for further improving the quality and content of guitar tuition, WCIT programmes and ensembles – including the nationally renowned Berkshire Youth Guitar Orchestra – the successful candidate will likely have proven leadership experience from within a school or music hub setting and have the enthusiasm, passion and commitment to lead and expand this thriving department.

Applicants must be well qualified and highly motivated practitioners, demonstrating the ability to teach children individually and in groups at all levels with experience of coaching ensembles. Developing collaborations across Berkshire and nationally and working creatively with colleagues, partners and schools, you will have a high level of understanding of teaching in a variety of styles and genres as well as the skills and knowledge to lead a large team of professional colleagues.

Please note the closing date for applications is 9am Monday 16 April 2018, although a more prompt response would be appreciated, with interviews likely to take place 23 – 26 April 2018, date and time to be confirmed.
