Hertfordshire Music Service is currently seeking a harp teacher. Our vision is that all Hertfordshire’s children and young people, regardless of background or circumstances, have the opportunity to discover or develop their unique musical voice and express themselves through the language of music.
What will be expected from me?
The role involves individual harp teaching, usually in the evenings, and possibly Saturday mornings at Watford School of Music and with the potential to teach in other locations. Travel between agreed locations may be required and therefore having your own vehicle is preferred but not essential.
Our teachers must be able to commit to deliver 33 teaching weeks over the academic year. Working hours will be agreed together with HMS. Your pay will be determined on the HMS pay scale (to be discussed on appointment). Teachers can progress up the pay scale through successful performance management.
Hertfordshire Music Service Safeguarding, Diversity & Equality
Hertfordshire Music Service and Hertfordshire County Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and expects all staff to share this commitment.
An enhanced DBS ‘Disclosure and Barring Service’ check for regulated activity and the Children’s and Adults’ Barred List checks will be required for this role.
We are proud to be a Disability Confident employer and guarantee an interview to anyone disclosing a disability whose application meets the minimum criteria for the post.
