Are you passionate about music education? Do you have the skill and enthusiasm to inspire students to unlock their musical potential? We’re seeking a dedicated and talented Guitar Teacher to join our team and deliver engaging one-to-one and small-group lessons in schools across Kirklees.

There are currently 12 hours of Guitar teaching over 2 days per week, plus scope for expansion. The teaching includes classical, electric, acoustic, and ukulele, and guitar/ukulele ensembles in a variety of school settings that you would be required to teach every week (for 33 weeks during term time) including Thursday evenings at Musica Batley.

You will require an Enhanced DBS and you will need to be able to transport yourself between different schools during each working day

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality guitar lessons to students of all ages and skill levels.
  • Plan effective lessons
  • Inspire students to develop a love for music and a lifelong passion for playing the guitar.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience teaching guitar to students of varying abilities.
  • Proficiency in music theory and guitar skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm for working with children and adults.
  • Flexibility to travel to different schools within Kirklees.

Our organisation is very interested in teachers who can recruit pupils for individual or small group lessons, or for WCET sessions in schools – this would expand your hours within your control. For new teachers, we provide up to 15 hours of paid recruitment per year (as directed by your line manager).
