We are seeking a Fundraising & Development Manager to strengthen our long-term financial sustainability and help realise our vision that every young person, regardless of background, can experience the transformative power of music.

Wandsworth Music is a dynamic and growing charity delivering high-quality music education to over 9,000 children and young people each year.

We are committed to ensuring all young people can experience the transformative power of music, actively removing barriers to participation and supporting progression regardless of background.

Our work includes:

  • Supporting all Wandsworth Schools to deliver a high-quality music curriculum.
  • Delivering more than 1,000 hours of weekly music tuition.
  • A thriving Music Academy with more than 500 students attending weekly
  • Numerous ensembles spanning orchestras, bands, choirs, and contemporary music.
  • Large scale concerts and events at venues such as The Royal Albert Hall and Wimbledon Tennis Championships.

The Fundraising and Development Manager will be responsible for leading and delivering the fundraising strategy.

The postholder will combine strategic planning with hands-on delivery, developing and implementing a sustainable fundraising strategy while directly securing income through trusts and foundations, individual donors, corporate sponsors and fundraising events. You will have a proven track record of securing significant levels of income from a wide variety of philanthropic sources.

Working closely with the CEO and Board, the role will play a key part in ensuring the organisation’s long-term financial sustainability.

Key Objectives

  • Develop and implement a clear, prioritised fundraising strategy.
  • Build a diversified income pipeline across trusts, individuals, and corporate partners.
  • Strengthen donor engagement and stewardship.
