Freelance Music Practitioners

£25.25 per hour

Bristol Plays Music (BPM), our music education hub, are looking for inspiring and experienced Freelance Music Practitioners to support its busy education team in delivering high quality music tuition and music making opportunities to young people across Bristol from April/May. BPM is the Arts Council England’s Music Education Hub for Bristol, managed by the Bristol Music Trust based at Colston Hall.

We are looking for the following instrumental tutors to teach from April 2018:

  • Instrumental Tutors delivering small group or individual tuition to children and young people: in particular those offering expertise in strings and brass, although we welcome applications from all music practitioners.
  • Whole-Class Ensemble Tutors across the primary age range: Brass and strings
  • String Tutors to work within our music centre ensembles

We are an inclusive practice organisation and as such welcome applications from musicians experienced in working with children in challenging circumstances, including children in care and children with SEND.

Applications are invited from creative musicians with proven teaching excellence, good communication skills and a real passion and commitment for teaching music to children and young people from all backgrounds. All BPM Freelance Music Practitioners receive comprehensive and high quality CPD throughout the year, including training, networking and mentoring.
