Ensembles & Events Coordinator

Sutton Music Service, lead partner in the Sutton Music Hub, is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Ensembles & Events Coordinator to join our thriving and expanding team. This key role will involve taking lead responsibility for the delivery of Sutton Music Service ensemble rehearsals and, regular concerts and large-scale events.

This is a full-time position, offered on a term time only basis – working hours by negotiation, to include Monday, Tuesday and Friday evenings and occasional weekend work.

The successful candidate will have:

• A relevant degree, performance experience and knowledge of music education and music-making initiatives for children and young people
• Outstanding communication skills in person, in writing and on the telephone
• Excellent organisation and administrative skills, including the strategic planning and delivery of events

Sutton Music Service is part of Cognus Limited, a private company jointly owned by the London Borough of Sutton and local schools. We offer a wide range of bands, orchestras and choirs, specialist instrumental tuition at our Wednesday and Saturday Music Schools and Whole Class Ensemble Tuition. We also provide instrumental, vocal and curriculum teaching in schools and work with a range of partner organisations to create all kinds of musical opportunities for the children and young people of the London Borough of Sutton.
