£23,398- £24,964 pro rata

This is a new role created due to the continued growth of music provision within the Calderdale area. We are looking for a confident communicator, ideally with knowledge of the music industry in addition to being a musician.

This new role has been created due to our continued growth in the sector of music provision within the
Calderdale area. We are a relatively small administrative team which is continuing to expand due to our
ongoing success, and this additional role offers great opportunity for any aspiring marketer with an interest in
festivals, music or events promotion. Strong communication and writing skills are required for the role.
Calderdale Music Trust, supported by over 30 highly qualified specialist music tutors, offers a wide variety of
music programmes for schools and individuals of all ages within the Calderdale region.
We provide opportunities for children, young people and adults to learn a musical instrument and make music
together in our ensembles. Main features of this role include the responsibility for coordinating concerts
including: booking of the venue; organising transportation of equipment; liaising with conductors etc, and
assisting the development of new online resources, projects and media strategies as appropriate. In addition,
the postholder will be expected to support our management team in ensemble development relating to the
National Plan for Music Education.
The successful candidate will be a clear, confident communicator, ideally with some knowledge of the music
industry in addition to being a musician. They must be flexible (including working twilight sessions and Saturday
mornings) and have good organisational and IT skills, have meticulous attention to detail and an ability to work
on their own initiative. Previous experience of project management (such as planning tours) or administration
in an arts organisation would be desirable as well as being a musician.
This post will offer the successful candidate the ability to manage their own workload in addition to receiving
whole hearted support from an experienced Trust Board with every encouragement in accessing training and
development opportunities.
