Blackpool Music Service is seeking to appoint an experienced music service leader.

The successful applicant will have significant managerial experience.

They will be expected to extend existing successful programmes and introduce new strategies, lead new inspirational High School initiatives and work as a team player within a well-established, respected teaching team.

Their specialist knowledge will need to reflect the many demands of our schools, partners and customers. Quality Assurances, Continuous Professional Development and support for our School’s Music Education Plans will also be required.

Successful bid writing for grants would also be an advantage.

As lead organisation for Blackpool Music Education Hub, this award winning, music service works with all Blackpool Schools, regional and national music and arts programmes.

It has an extensive community and extra-curricular programme and participates in numerous initiatives with many nationally respected music organisations.

At times, working beyond the normal office working hours will be necessary.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
