Business & Development Manager
Ealing council's Music Service is seeking to recruit a business and development manager to manage the administrative function, build on the success of the music service and to support the continuing development of the Ealing Music Partnership.

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual who has a passion for delivering the best music provision for the benefit of our children and young people, in one of the most exciting and diverse areas of London.
This role will initially be based in our offices at Ealing Music Service, Dominion Centre and Library, 112 The Green, Southall, Middlesex UB2 4BQ. We have plans to move to the Greenford area from where the position will be based.
You will:
• be responsible for the music service budget of circa £1m
• supervise the financial and administrative systems of EMS, ensuring the development of the music hub as a sustainable business unit
• ensure business growth and lead on income generation, marketing and fundraising.
The successful candidate will have:
• skills to supervise and support administrative staff
• knowledge of financial procedures and basic accounting
• IT skills including advanced/intermediate skills in Word, Excel, Access and the Internet
• good verbal and written communication skills
• good knowledge of Music Education or arts management
• proven ability in fundraising.
As this is a schools service the post holder will be expected to take the majority of his/her annual leave outside of school term time, including during a two week closure during the summer holidays.
This post will initially be for a fixed term period up to the end of the current funding agreement, 31st March 2020, however, do note that we have been in receipt of this funding since September 1999 and we fully expect it to continue post 1st April 2020.
