Business Development and Engagement Manager

Berkshire Maestros, the lead organisation of the Berkshire Music Hub, is looking for an experienced and forward thinking individual to take the lead in optimising our work with children and young people, schools and local communities within a specified region. As an exceptional, inspirational leader with substantial experience, this is an opportunity for you to drive forward musical engagement and increase participation across the region, developing initiatives and enabling stakeholders to achieve a shared vision for local children and adults.

Maestros is a remarkable music service and the pace at which we work can be breath-taking. We seek a candidate of exceptional calibre willing to look at the existing musical opportunities in the area with fresh eyes and find new ways of doing things. You will develop accessible music centres to meet the needs of local pupils and facilitate programmes of high-quality musical learning, ensembles and projects which engage and inspire young musicians. Implementing a trail-blazing, sustainable range of musical initiatives, you will provide strategic leadership to the team of teachers delivering our musical activities and have an excellent understanding of the music education landscape.

As the successful candidate, you will bring strategic and innovative delivery to the post, have substantial experience of leadership, preferably in an education, arts environment or music hub setting and, ideally, have a musical background.
