The East Riding Schools’ Music Service seeks a part time, temporary but renewable on a yearly basis, Brass Instruments Teacher from 1 January 2022.
You will teach individuals, small groups and whole classes. A passion for widening access to all styles of music for all children together with an excellent track record and the ability to motivate young people to achieve their full potential are all essential.
Due to the current situation relating to Covid 19 Schools’ Music Service Teachers may be required to teach lessons online in addition to or as an alternative to face-to-face lessons. You should therefore have a flexible approach towards ‘blended learning’.
The service supports a large range of high quality musical extra-curricular activities including choirs, bands, orchestras, ensembles and workshop/masterclass opportunities. You may have the opportunity to be involved and this would include evening and weekend working paid as additional hours.
You must have a full current driving licence and an allowance will be paid to assist in the running of a car.
Both experienced and new teachers to the profession are welcome to apply.
Schools’ Music Service staff are employed by East Riding of Yorkshire Council on School Teachers Pay and Conditions. Appointment will be made up to a maximum of point 6 on the main pay scale.
Based at Hexagon Music Centre Beverley, up to 3 days, Monday to Friday during term-time.
