Associate Teacher, Piano

£29.90 per hour (small group tuition) £33.88 per hour (large group/whole class sessions)

We are looking for an Associate Teacher to deliver individual and paired piano lessons at our Saturday Centre. From September this work may expand to include teaching opportunities in schools (standard tuition and wider opportunities sessions).

Applicants should preferably have taught, and be happy to teach, group and individual lessons to pupils from across the age range (ie academic years 2-13) and whose abilities range from beginner to grade 8. Previous experience of group teaching (max. 3 per group) in a school environment and teaching on Wider Opportunities programmes is beneficial.

Teachers must be able to commit to working for 30 weeks per year (10 weeks per academic term). We employ well organised, reliable, flexible and committed individuals who are good at communicating with both children and adults. All teachers will be subject to DBS checks.

Rates

£29.90 per hour for standard small group instrumental tuition
£33.88 per hour for Large group / whole class sessions.

Teachers are paid via PAYE and are eligible to join a Pension Scheme.
