A vacancy has arisen for an Administrative Assistant to join Richmond Music Trust, a well-established, successful and expanding provider of music education opportunities for children and young people. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful organisation with this post suiting a hardworking and ambitious individual, perhaps a recent graduate.

As Administrative Assistant you will be assisting the Deputy Chief Executive (Finance & Operations Manager) to ensure the smooth running of all operations. Main duties include supporting the scheduling of a team of 80 instrumental teachers, dealing with telephone/email enquiries from parents, teachers and schools, updating the finance management system and assisting in the preparation, production and dispatch of approximately 3000 tuition invoices per term. Supporting administration across a number of different departments also forms a key part of the role.

The successful candidate will be highly literate and numerate with IT skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with database and/or finance management software is desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with a confident phone manner are essential, as well as the ability to work with initiative and take on responsibility where appropriate.

A registered charity since 1994 and incorporated in 2001, RMT provides instrumental tuition in schools to over 5000 students each week and runs weekly orchestras and bands for all abilities at three music centres. Regular large-scale events and collaborative projects are integral to our work. Our flourishing Music Therapy department provides services to over 250 children and adults across South West London every week.
