Wales Big Meet: Shaping Music Mark’s asks of the next government in Wales
Help shape Music Mark’s asks of the next Senedd in advance of the next Welsh Elections.
As the UK Association for Music Education Music Mark is keen to ensure that music education is considered as an important part of educational and arts provision in Wales.
Similar to its work in the lead up to the General Election in 2024, Music Mark aims to prepare a clear set of asks of the next Senedd which guarantee the sustainability and growth of music education provision in Wales regardless regardless of who is elected to government.
To guarantee that what is presented reflects the Music Mark Membership and Partners working in Wales, we are running a Big Meet to review and comment on a draft statement on the future of music education in Wales. The document will reflect on the great work that has been done by the music education ecology, led by the National Music Service, but will highlight the need for sustainability and increased investment to ensure the developments which have been implemented continue to ensure access to, and the quality and diversity, of provision across the country at all levels of education.
