Unlocking Social Value: Using evidence to tell a stronger story
Join us to find out more about what social value actually is and how it can help you better demonstrate your impact.

If you work in arts, culture or heritage, you are already being asked to demonstrate artistic excellence, audience reach, education and learning outcomes, and increasingly your social and community value too.
This webinar is about helping you understand what social value measurement involves, and how it can work alongside the evaluation you are already doing. In this session, you will learn:
- What Social Value measurement is and how arts and culture organisations are already using it
- The core concepts behind Social Value and Social return on investment (SROI), explained in plain language
- How Orchestras Live uses Social Value to communicate impact to funders and decision-makers
- How to build on your existing data and evaluation practice to tell a stronger story about the difference your work makes
We’ll be joined by Nicola Dixon, Arts Development Manager, from East Riding of Yorkshire Council, who will discuss her experiences of using social value measurement.
Whether you are new to social value or looking to deepen your existing approach, this session offers a grounded, practical introduction to a methodology that is gaining real traction across the sector.
