Assessment at all key stages; let’s get the conversation started

In the aftermath of the publication of the Curriculum and Assessment Review report this is an opportunity to have your say. Whether you are heading into GCSE time, or you are a Primary teacher where SATs occupy your assessment attention, this session provides focussed time to delve into the crucial elements needed to assess young people’s musical ability and provide evidence of attainment in music education. Our speakers have a wealth of opinion and breadth of expertise on assessment, they join us from; DRET a multi academy trust; PEARSON and OCR awarding bodies for GCSE, A-level and vocational qualifications; and ABRSM the exam board of the Royal Schools of Music providing graded assessments for individuals in vocal & instrumental practical, performance and theory. Relevant for Primary, Secondary and SEND/ alternative provision classroom teachers.

About T-Time

Facilitated by Music Mark’s School Manager Abi Marrison, T time is a shorthand for ‘Music Teachers Time to Talk Termly on Topics and Themes (with Tea if they like)!’

We host an online space for 1 hour every term, exclusively for classroom teachers across the UK to share peer to peer and have professional debate about music in education. Every session begins with a guest speaker who will provoke reflections and talking points on the given theme.

Please note this session is centred on discussion (following the presentation), so please be prepared to attend on a device with microphone and video enabled and take-part fully. Videos of speaker presentations will be made available after the event to those who attended the live session.
