Shared Narratives, led by Ankna Arockiam and Uchenna Ngwe, are delighted to be hosting an online conference, Shared Narratives: Supporting work by performing arts researchers of colour, from 10th – 12th November 2021 supported by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, and University of Nottingham Centre for Black Studies.

This is an opportunity for researchers of colour to support, network and showcase their varied areas of academic interests, recognising the breadth and quality of performing arts research produced by academics of colour.

What is Shared Narratives?

Shared Narratives aims to create a platform for academic voices that are often hidden, particularly in conservatoire and university settings. This event will provide an opportunity for sharing research produced by researchers of colour and develop a collaborative networking space for academics and practitioners of colour.

Who will I hear from?

Presentations, papers, performance and discussion groups will be delivered and facilitated by academics and practitioners of colour in disciplines including Music, Dance, Acting, Musical Theatre, Film Studies and Theatre Production.
