Rodolfus Foundation Christmas Celebration

  • 17th December 2020
  • 6.00pm - 7.00pm
  • Online

The Rodolfus Foundation will be hosting a wonderful Christmas Celebration of festive carols and readings on Thursday 17th December, 6pm, via YouTube in aid of their Bursary Fund that helps young people attend a summer choral course.

The Rodolfus Choir will be joined by celebrity readers and professional soloists as well as the Pimlico Music Foundation and Youth Choir of St John the Divine Kennington in what promises to be a treat for everyone of any faith and none.

We are excited to announce that our readers will include the BBC Radio sports journalist Eleanor Oldroyd, the actor and singer Julian Ovenden, the much loved composer John Rutter CBE and star of stage and screen actress Barbara Flynn. The event will be introduced by Alexander Armstrong.

We will be joined by Pimlico Music Foundation, conducted by James Day, and the youth choirs of St John the Divine in Kennington, conducted by Ben Vonberg Clerk. Charlie Truman will delight us with the first verse of Once in Royal David City and Roderick Williams OBE will be singing Peter Cornelius’s timeless setting of The Three Kings, accompanied by the Rodolfus Choir.

The Rodolfus Choir will also be singing Kenneth Leighton’s Lully Lulla and Peter Warlock’s Bethlehem Down, and there will be congregational carols too for you to join in with at home!
