Rhythm2Recovery Facilitator Training
We are back in Surrey for Rhythm2Recovery facilitator training this May! Rhythm2Recovery is widely used by music educators around the world to support youth mental health. This program teaches music and rhythm in a fun, social and exploratory way linking to social and emotional learning and has a strong focus on rhythm, movement and improvisation.

This is fun music making for young people of all ages and abilities that links playing music to life skills and both psychological and physiological benefits. It is full of fun music games that have a strong focus on inclusion, belonging, teamwork and healthy relationships. There is a focus on hand drumming and use of percussion instruments. It also utilises the latest research on how rhythmic music can influence the human stress response and has a range of exercises to improve emotional regulation. No previous experience is necessary.
For students with special needs, this training includes a range of exercises that focus on emotional awareness and attunement as well as others that address grounding and motor-coordination.
The Rhythm2Recovery model is backed by a substantial independent evidence base and is endorsed by the centre of clinical excellence. Recently a program developed from this model won the most outstanding program award at the Florida Music Education Awards.
