Primary Music Toolkit – FREE webinar

  • 18th October 2017 - 18th October 2017
  • 4pm - 5pm

With Ofsted’s renewed focus on a broad and balanced curriculum, teachers across primary schools will appreciate the ISM Trust’s new Primary Music Toolkit, written by Dr Alison Daubney. Supported by the Schools Music Association (part of the ISM), the toolkit was commissioned to help all primary teachers embed musical learning in and through the curriculum and to seek out appropriate resources. The six-part toolkit is freely available to download from

This webinar – the first in a series of three – discusses the place of music in the primary curriculum, considering what it is and what it could be. It provides practical advice for setting up musical learning in the classroom and ways in which musical instruments can be used. There will be opportunities for those joining the webinar to ask questions and signpost practical ideas.
