Primary Music Series: BBC Ten Pieces & Other Resources
A little help from my friends; The BBC lead a session to highlight the great resources and support external partners can provide to educators, with the support of One Education Music Manchester. This session is a part of our Primary School Music Teaching series.
Jen Redmond from BBC Ten Pieces will start the session with a whistlestop tour of the wealth of resources that BBC Ten Pieces has freely available online; with context about the importance of the rich diversity of these resources; profiling ethnically diverse composers, women composers, as well as a bank of trailblazing people in music.
After a 10 minute comfort break BBC Ten Pieces resources will be presented from the point of view of a music service in Manchester. Steven Hawkins from One Education Music will show the practical application of using the ten pieces resources with children throughout the Manchester City region.
