Orchestra of Solihull Schools in Concert

  • 16th February 2018 - 16th February 2018
  • 7pm
  • Warwick Arts Centre

Solihull Music Hub along with Solihull Schools secondary Music Network are organising a mass orchestra project.

Following the first ever Solihull school’s Mass Orchestra Project in 2016, we are repeating the experience for all our secondary schools and invited primary feeder schools on Fri 16 Feb 2018. We are proud to announce the event will take place at Warwick Arts Centre, Butterworth Hall. The performance is based on the BBC 10 pieces.

The aims of the project are:

  • To provide secondary and primary pupils with the opportunity to play in a large orchestra.
  • For pupils to desk share with younger students to aid transition and encourage them to continue playing at secondary school.
  • To continue to build a musical community with all our secondary schools, to make sure that music stays alive and relevant in schools

Working alongside teachers and Solihull Music Service staff are the BBC, Armonico and the Royal Conservatoire to help maximise the impact of the project.
