Music educators: why do we do what we do?

  • 7th December 2021
  • 17:30 - 19:00
  • Online: Zoom

Join us for the launch of Orchestras for All’s free live webinar series for 2021-2022 as leading saxophonist, author and music education consultant, Professor Nate Holder, discusses whiteness in music education, decolonisation vs diversity and the integral role of building relationships.

The series forms part of Music Leadership Training (MLT) – the charity’s continuing professional development (CPD) programme, specially designed to equip music teachers and leaders with the tools and skills they need to set up and run inclusive ensembles in under-resourced schools and community groups. In this session, we will take time to examine ourselves and our practise. Who are we? Why do what we do? Who benefits the most from what we do? Come prepared to ask questions and be open about your experiences, so that we can all learn from each other as well as make our industry a better and safer place for all.
