Introduction to Leading Singing

Choosing songs that are right for your group; keeping in tune; keeping in time; teaching harmonies; tips for teaching a song quickly and effectively; avoiding over-singing; teaching tricky sections; keeping rehearsals fun; games and exercises.

Amy is Director of Training for the Association of British Choral Directors. She has training in both Kodaly and Dalcroze approaches and has a wealth of experience working with singers of all ages. She has delivered choral training for Sing Up, Youth Music, Glyndebourne Education Outreach, Trinity/Open University, the Royal College of Music Junior Department and the Royal Academy of Music. Amy has a friendly and open approach to working with teachers, and incorporates practical aspects of leading singing in a fun and engaging way.
