We are delighted to welcome Sir David Carter, former National Schools Commissioner, to the Herefordshire School Music Conference. Sir David will draw on his experience as a former Head of Music, Music Advisor and Headteacher to deliver an extended Keynote/Seminar on the theme ‘What Does a Quality Music Education Experience Look Like?’ Not to be missed!

Music from Bali and Brazil will feature in workshops delivered by Mike Simpson from ‘Inspire-works’. Aidan Sheehan, session musician, teacher, community workshop leader, song-writer and recording artist, will lead the session ‘Inspiring Young Songwriters’. High school colleagues have a dedicated session to share ideas, ask questions, seek advice and learn from one another. Jenni Axtell will deliver our singing workshops. Hannah West and KS1 colleagues will ‘Count on Music!’ Plus lots more besides!

‘School Leaders and the Role of Guardianship of the Arts’ is the title of Sir David Carter’s special presentation for Headteachers, Governors and members of Senior Leadership Teams. It will take place at 11.30-12.45, with coffee at 11.15.
