Exchange: Turning emails into ongoing revenue
How to grow a mailing list of people who are interested in the work of your organisation.

This session will cover how to grow a mailing list of people who are interested in the work of your organisation.
We’ll discuss:
- How can you plan the development of content designed to engage your audience further?
- How can grassroots music organisations use email as a key channel to grow community, engage audiences and raise money.
- Some practical, step by step guidance which will be useful to those starting out on the journey of delivering content by email, to those looking for tips to make email work harder.
- Platforms and technology you may consider using to make the tasks as efficient as possible and the likely cost in time and money of starting, or scaling up, activity.
- How segmentation and personalisation can make your content both timely and relevant to your audiences.
- Encouraging thinking about content gathering as an ‘always on’ activity, and also how this will help you tell great stories to use across lots of different communications channels, not just email.
- How to think about frequency, different types of content and calls to action, and how to write in a way which connects with audiences.
There should be something in the session for everyone!
