Disability Inclusive Classrooms with Celebrating Disability

  • 24th March 2026
  • 3.30pm - 6.30pm
  • Online (Zoom)

Make your Music classroom and teaching more accessible and engaging for everyone with actionable tips, resources, and ideas.

This session focuses on building practical confidence in inclusive music teaching for students. It explores how different teaching approaches can either create or remove barriers, and how small changes in delivery, environment, and expectations can support a wider range of learners. Through reflection, discussion, and practical examples, the session highlights how music can be taught in flexible ways that allow students to engage, develop, and experience success, regardless of how they learn.

The session also encourages a shift in perspective, from seeing challenges as something within the student, to recognising how teaching methods and environments can be adapted. It reinforces that inclusive teaching is not about lowering standards, but about creating multiple pathways for students to learn, express themselves, and build confidence through music.

Celebrating Disability has developed this one-page guide to help delegates and participants understand the structure of our events. Contact details are provided for any participant wanting to get in touch to request adjustments.
