Devolution Big Meet
Devolution is coming to all areas of England; Join other people from Music services as well as Hub leads and those from NYMOs to learn from those who’ve already experienced changes and to discuss how devolution may impact your area, relationships and operations.
Devolution is coming to all areas of England. Strategic Authorities will have new powers and local authorities will be reorganised, sweeping away the second tier. It is unclear exactly how devolution will affect education but we have seen the effects of Local Government Reorganisation in multiple areas of England and in Wales.
We have seen two-tier local authorities replaced with unitaries and there are English and Welsh examples of music services based in one LA and serving two, three or four LA areas. Two Music Hubs are led by strategic authorities.
Music services, Hub leads and NYMOs are invited to join this Big Meet to hear from colleagues who have experienced changes already and to consider how it might impact your area, relationships and operations.
