Developing Core Skills in Primary Music

  • 11th February 2026
  • 09.30 - 14.30
  • Online (Zoom)

In this full day webinar you will learn how to support your pupils to develop their skills and understanding in performing, composing & improvising, listening, reading notation, and understanding the history of music.

Each skill area will be considered in the light of the latest research, DfE policy documents, and Ofsted advice. Guidance for the planning, delivery and assessment of practical activities will be provided, and you will learn how to integrate all the skill areas into one holistic, progressive approach to music in your school.

The webinar is suitable for anyone teaching music in a primary school (5-11) setting following the English National Curriculum, whether specialist or non-specialist.
