Confident Composing at Secondary – Leeds

This course will cover all aspects of composing with secondary pupils, including GCSE and A Level as well as KS3. Based on the latest research into Composing in Education, the course will give delegates the skills and understanding to overcome common composing problems in the classroom, and to inspire pupils to develop their creative skills.

Course Leader: Kirsty Devaney
Kirsty is a British composer and a Junior Fellow at the Conservatoire. Her work specialises in working with and writing music for young and non-professionals and in 2011 she was nominated for a BASCA British Composer Award. She is currently undertaking a PhD, researching Composing in Education.
