Conductors for Change: London

Conductors for Change gives music leaders the tools, strategies and practical conducting techniques to set up a new instrumental ensemble, or develop an existing one in a mixed skills and instrument context. Created by a team of highly experienced music directors and educators this flexible programme of hands-on training is rooted in inclusive practice.
This face-to-face training day will give music teachers and leaders the opportunity to work with a mixed-ability youth orchestra to help develop fundamental conducting skills, under the expert guidance of Emma Oliver-Trend.
You will work with a mixed-ability, school orchestra to develop conducting and rehearsing skills in a real musical setting. You will gain expert guidance and training in a series of conducting workshops focusing on the key aspects of conducting a mixed-ability instrumental ensemble. The number of participants is limited so that each receives plenty of opportunity for conducting practice and personalised feedback.
