Composing and Arranging for Mixed-Ability Ensembles – Free Workshop

Learn how to write and arrange music for mixed skill-level ensembles with Orchestras for All’s in-house arranger and conductor, Emma Oliver-Trend.

Emma will lead a practical workshop on how to approach inclusive orchestral education for absolute beginners to post-grade-8 musicians, encompassing a variety of orchestrations and instrumental combinations.

The workshop is part of the Southbank Centre’s SoundState festival and will take place on Saturday 19 January at 12pm at the Royal Festival Hall, Foyle Pavilion, Level 3. The workshop is absolutely free but you will need to book a ticket through the below link.

And don’t forget to bring an instrument and some manuscript paper with you!
