17:30 – 20:00: A transformative workshop led by Music Educator and Trauma Specialist, Darren Abrahams on ‘Music Education and the Nervous System’. Here, you’ll discover the role of the nervous system and the co-regulation practices vital for looking after ourselves, our teams and our classrooms. The inspirational Bella Ikpasaja, a powerful advocate for safer and more sustainable workplaces will also be joining us for a special keynote on how, together, we can build sustainability in music education as well as creating happier and healthier teaching communities.
Hosted in collaboration with Tameside and Oldham Music Service Heads, Chris Jolly and Kate Campbell Green. All music teachers and managers and music service staff welcome!
