CBSO Celebrating Musical Inclusion Conference

A day exploring and celebrating good practice in inclusive music activities being delivered by professional musicians, predominantly those from the Western Classical tradition, with, for and by people living with disabilities.

Throughout the day there will be inspirational presentations and discussions from some of the innovative organisations in this field, including the CBSO, Live Music Now, Orchestras Live and Mac Makes Music. Presentations will explore the outcomes, challenges and benefits of different approaches for participants, musicians and organisations, and there will be a facilitated forum for musicians to share their own experiences working within SEND settings.

Keynote speaker will be clarinettist and composer Lloyd Coleman, joined in conversation with Orchestras Live’s Stuart Bruce, and Matt Griffiths, CEO of Youth Music will provide the closing comments.

This is a day celebrating all aspects of musical inclusion and we welcome everyone interested in this area – organisations, musicians, teachers and students.

Tickets for the whole day (including refreshments) cost just £15. Student tickets can be purchased for £5.
