Bury Music Service is looking for a dedicated and passionate Singing Tutor to cover maternity leave. Your role would be to deliver high-quality singing tuition across schools and at our evening music centre, lead whole-school singing assemblies and school choirs. You will play a key role in inspiring a love of singing and helping young people develop confidence, musical skills and a lifelong enjoyment of music.

Bury Music Service is a not-for-profit organisation and the leading provider of music education in Bury. We provide weekly lessons during the day (in schools) and evenings (at the centre) for children and adults across the borough.

We are seeking individuals to teach both individual and group lessons.

We are looking for candidates:

  • With the ability to demonstrate high levels of musicianship and vocal expertise.
  • Who can deliver high-quality and engaging singing tuition to pupils of all ages and abilities.
  • Who can lead whole-school singing assemblies that inspire participation, enthusiasm and musical development.
  • Who can establish, lead and develop school choirs and vocal ensembles.
  • To show dedication to the musical and personal development of our students.

Other key requirements:

  • It is essential for applicants to hold a valid UK driving licence and have use of a car in order to travel between venues across Bury.
  • An enhanced DBS check is required.

This is an employed position to cover maternity leave, with added benefits such as holiday pay, statutory sick pay and pension contributions, with the potential for further opportunities.
